We are delighted to announce that Viromii is participating in the BIOPLA project, funded by the Agencia Valenciana de la Innovación (AVI).
BIOPLA: Biological recycling of rice straw waste from the Comunitat Valenciana through fermentation into lactic acid and subsequent polymerisation into polylactic acid.
- Objectives: The main objective of the project is to develop a process that makes it possible to valorise rice straw into bioplastics.
- Description: Rice straw is a very important waste stream in the Comunitat Valenciana, particularly in the Parque Natural de la Albufera, so the project will have a major impact on the circular economy and on the environmental level in the Valencian region.
