We are very proud to announce that Viromii is participating in the BIOVALSA project, funded by the Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad e Innovación (IVACE+i).
BIOVALSA: Research into new mechanisms for the valorisation of lignocellulosic waste typical of the Comunidad Valenciana for the production of functional bioplastics.
- Objectives: The main objective of the project is to transform lignocellulosic waste into high value-added products for the plastics industry, developing innovative routes and more sustainable and economically viable processes.
- Description: Lignocellulosic waste is an abundant resource in the Comunidad Valenciana. This project aims to convert this waste into key biopolymers, such as polylactic acid (PLA) and polybutylene succinate (PBS), promoting a circular economy model with a major environmental and economic impact in the region.
