EASY-OEF: A new software for corporate emissions monitoring

The current climate crisis, together with stricter environmental policies and growing social awareness of sustainability, is increasing pressure on companies and public organizations to quantify, manage and reduce their emissions.

This creates a need for simple and reliable digital tools that help organizations calculate their carbon and environmental footprints, integrate sustainability criteria into their operations and support external verification processes.

To address this need, CT BETA at UVic-UCC is developing EASY-OEF, a web-based software tool for calculating organizational carbon and environmental footprints, aligned with CSR strategies and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals.

EASY-OEF is a web-based software application designed to calculate the Carbon Footprint and Environmental Footprint of organizations. The tool supports compliance with different standards and frameworks.

The software is designed to be simple and intuitive, helping companies incorporate sustainability and CSR criteria more efficiently into their management processes. It also facilitates external verification and ecolabel processes by automatically generating preliminary verification reports.

In addition, EASY-OEF includes automatic modelling of emissions from agricultural and farm stages, based on IPCC and EMEP/EEA models, as well as applicable reductions linked to the implementation of Best Available Techniques.

Benefits:

  • Simple and intuitive footprint calculation tool.
  • Supports Carbon Footprint and Environmental Footprint assessment.
  • Alignment with CSR and SDG strategies.
  • Compliance with recognized reporting standards.
  • Automatic preliminary verification reports.
  • Agricultural and farm-stage emissions modelling.

The represented institution is seeking collaborations with companies and consultants interested in using or further validating.
