Vapor compression systems are widely used for heating and cooling, but under demanding conditions they often suffer from high energy consumption, reduced reliability, and faster component wear, which can increase maintenance costs and shorten equipment lifespan. To address these challenges, researchers at Universitat Jaume I (UJI) have developed a system that enhances the performance and reliability of vapor compression equipment, helping improve efficiency while extending operational life.
The technology consists of an add-on module that enhances the efficiency of vapor compression systems by improving their energy performance (EER/COP) while maintaining precise control over critical operating temperatures. By reducing thermal stress and the degradation of components and working fluids, it ensures stable operation even under extreme conditions. As a result, the solution extends equipment lifespan and significantly lowers operating and maintenance costs.

Benefits of this technology:
- Reduces the need for repairs and downtime by maintaining optimal working conditions, extending system lifespan.
- Allows integration of commercial components maintaining efficiency, reducing costs and avoiding operation near technical limits.
- Enhances energy use and reliability, ensuring stable operation even under demanding conditions.
The represented institution is seeking for a collaboration that leads to the commercial exploitation of the presented invention.
