In 2021, a team of researchers from the Instituto Maimónides de Investigación Biomédica de Córdoba (IMIBIC) and the Universidad de Córdoba decided to take their advances in proteomics one step further into the market. Since then, at Viromii we have accompanied every stage of their journey.
We began by helping them shape their project, working together on defining a solid business model, market analysis, and identifying technology transfer opportunities. This work was key to transforming their idea into the company CoBiomic Bioscience SL, established as a spin-off in 2022.
Our collaboration didn’t end there. We continued supporting the validation of customer segments, establishing strategic alliances, and organizing meetings with key players in their sector. This effort culminated in an important agreement with a multinational pharmaceutical company, a milestone for the company.
Today, CoBiomic has consolidated itself as a benchmark in personalized medicine, offering innovative proteomics services for the identification of biomarkers in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. In addition, in 2024, it was recognized as the best entrepreneurial project at the XI CEPYME Awards.
This case reflects the value of constant strategic support throughout the entire journey. At Viromii we are proud to have been part of CoBiomic’s story, from its beginnings up to today.
